Busy Week

It has been so windy here. This is what it feels like when you try to walk outside. The wind gusts have been between 40-50 mph with a steady wind of around 20 mph. So tired of the wind.

Wind BlownOn another note. This is what I have gotten done this week.

Sunday I made two adult hats and one baby hat on my knitting machine.

Here is a picture of both the purple baby hats setting on top of each other. I want you to notice they are not the same size. What is cray is that they are both made out of worsted weight yarn, same size from the pattern and same hook size. Not all worsted weight is the same. I believe the top hat is made out of Caron Simply Soft and the bottom hat is made from Vanna Choice.

A Cute little baby set. I am in love with this new patter called the Galilee Booties by Tara Murray. The pattern is easy and comes out so stinking cute.

Saturday Outing

This is the first weekend in a long time that my husband hasn’t had to work on a Saturday. We decided to go have lunch with his mom. We at lunch at one of my favorite places, Big B’s Beef. They are located in the old part of town called Delano. I love going down there. The people are so nice and the food is yummy. I should have taken a picture of the Gyro and fries I had. When I thought about it my sandwich was gone. It was great having a relaxing lunch and not having to be anywhere quickly.

Since we were down there Twist Yarn Shop is right next door. So of course we had to go in. I was looking for yarn to make the  Suke-Suke Cowl Pattern by Olga Buraya-Kefelian. Kirsten Singer over at Klever Knits shared this pattern the other day. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.

This is what I walked out of the store with.

I think it is going to be wonderful.

My husband found this yarn.

It is 100% Mink. It is so soft. He suggested making a pair of gloves out of it. It is going to be wonderful.

Hope you all had a great relaxing Saturday.

Spring Break 2014

Well here is a recap of my Spring Break Crafting.

1st the mess

What is that black round thing and that pink round thing? Those are my two new toys I purchased this week. They are so fun to use. The black one is the Addi Knitting Express King Size. I purchased it off of Amazon.com. The little pink one is very similar to the Addi Knitting Express, but much cheaper. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon.

I knit these cute little guys on the little pink knitting machine. They will fit a 18″ doll. I thought they would be a little bit bigger. I am going to try to knit dishrags on the little machine and see what happens.

These three hats were knit on the bigger machine. I love how they turned out.

I also went to KSMyStitch Crochet Guild on Monday. We are working on crocheting slippers for cancer patients here in town.

The teal and pink slippers are called OMA Slippers and the gray slippers are called OPA. I love these patterns. They are quick to work up..
